ANGOLA – Market of Opportunities
The António Vilar & Associados Law Office has judicially coordinated the seminar “ANGOLA – Market of Opportunities”, which took place in Lisbon on April 11th and in Oporto on April 13th. Organized by the Portuguese-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it counted with the presence of António Vilar and Amílcar Fernandes, Angolan lawyer of the office, with interventions in the seminar in two occasions. In this event were also present the Ambassador António Monteiro, José Neto, the National Director of Road Transport, Victor de Carvalho, Director of the Angolan Port Institute, and Hélder José, From de Angolan Provincial Institute.

Participation in training actions
In the next month my company will organize a training action for 10 of its employees. Two of them threaten to miss all these training actions pleading that they are not obliged to participate if we don’t pay them the additional work. Notice that the training action will begin in the last hour of work and will be extended till 45 minutes after the end of the working hours. Do we have to pay them those hours of additional work?

Tax recovery in insolvency process
We have an important credit regarding a company that has an insolvency process in court. We don’t claim credits nor act judicially to charge that value. As we have already lost hope to recover the credit, can we at least recover the correspondent taxes?

The protection to the worker-student
In one of the establishments of the company that I am the manager of we have an employee who is enrolled in a Master's degree. Because the company has a policy of personal valuation of its employees, we intend to ensure to that worker all the rights that this new status grants him.
